SAMBAQUI MARICULTURE

At the Sambaqui Farm native oysters of exceptional quality are cultivated. Since 2005 the Company participates in the Cultimar Project, developed by the Integrated Group of Aquaculture and Environmental Studies (GIA) at the Federal University of Parana, which periodically carries out the sanitary analysis of the molluscs and provides the respective reports to the members of Association of Guaratubana Mariculture and Seafood Industries (AGUAMAR).

The seeds used for cultivation are collected in the environment through artificial collectors or produced in the laboratory.

The water transfer to the oysters of the SAMBAQUI FARM was carried out by the Federal Government in a pioneering way for Brazil through a procedure led by the Paraná Institute of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (EMATER/PR) in partnership with the Association of Guaratubana Mariculture and Seafood Industries (AGUAMAR), Brazil Mar Association and other entities.
